Date and Location Change: Starting September 13th and for the start of the 2024-2025 season, we are temporarity moving to the 2nd floor at Saskatoon SALSA - 96 33rd Street East, and will be dancing on Friday Nights from September 13th until at least November 22. (This is due to renovations going on at Albert Community Centre). Enter the building through techbox doors. It's a good idea to call ahead 306-242-8650 and let us know you are planning on attending as a drop in. Keep an eye out for time and location information for after November 22nd.

About Us

We are a nonprofit organization that promotes dancing from countries and ethnic regions around the world. We are a recreational club and welcome anyone interested in folkdancing. We love to share our joy in Folk Dancing with others!! Come dance with us so we can pass along ancient and modern traditional style of dancing from everywhere for many more decades to come.

Temporary Location:

Our regular location for Thursday night dancing is Albert Community Centre on Clarence Avenue, but is currently under renovations.

During the months of June, July and August, we have Dancing In The Park at Albert Park.

How To Join

September 1st to May 31st

  • 6:55 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.: A review of recently learned dances and teaching new dances.
  • 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.: Request dancing. Everyone can request dances they want to see or do.
  • June 1st to August 31st

  • 7:00 p.m. Dancing In The Park at Albert Park (weather permitting)
  • Cost:

    (Prices are subject to change)
    Membership: $20
    With a membership, you can pay All Thursday dance fees at once
    In 2024 - $80
    1/2-year fees are also an option:
    Jan - May - $50
    Sept - Dec - $50
    Or if you only want to dance occasionally, with membership each drop in fee is $4
    Drop-in Fee : No membership required
    $5 drop-in fee for each thursday attended
    Your First Thursday indoor dance lesson is free! So come and try out Thursday Night Dancing.

    Summer months are free (No formal lessons are given; however, members will help guide. Watching and following behind another dancer is also a good way to pick up the steps.)
